Odisha CM hoists tricolour in Bhubaneswar on occasion of 75th Independence Day

In Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today hoisted the tricolour at the exhibition ground in Bhubaneswar on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day. Addressing the people Mr Patnaik said that our democracy is our greatest success.

AIR correspondent reports that Chief Minister Mr Patnaik in his Independence Day address described Indian democracy as having been successful enough in including people in the development process. Stating that investment in youth is investment in future, he said, the country is proud of the historic win of the Indian hockey team in the Tokyo Olympics.

 

Underlining the fact that Odisha has been sponsoring the national hockey teams from 2018, Mr Patnaik assured all help for the Indian hockey teams to be the best in the world. Making a mention of Odisha’s fight against covid-19, the Chief Minister said that the state has saved many lives by supplying oxygen to 17 States for about two months, without any interruption. On the occasion he declared the launch of a revamped universal health care scheme, which will provide healthcare coverage to  96 lakh families in the state.
