75th I-Day: Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray hoists tricolour in Mumbai

 On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray hoisted the tricolour at Mantralaya in Mumbai. Addressing after the flag hoisting ceremony, Mr. Thackeray appealed to the people to pledge to celebrate next year’s Independence Day in a corona-free atmosphere. He felicitated and congratulated the state’s Presidential Medal winners. He also remembered Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, saying the warrior king sowed the seeds for freedom struggle from foreign rule.
