Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar has said that series of events have been planned to commemorate the 75 years of Independence. He said, as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, active participation of citizen will be ensured to recognize unsung heroes and best technology minds of the country. Talking exclusively to AIR News, Mr. Chandrasekhar said, India has a rich cultural heritage of thousands of years. He said, the country has made rapid stride in many areas in the last eight years and many unfulfilled and incomplete issues that were left after Independence have been completed. The Minister said, he is looking forward to next 25 years when India will celebrate 100 years of independence as truly prosperous nation wherein equitable opportunities to be provided to people ensuring Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas.
Mr. Chandrasekha said, his Ministry has done tremendous work to transform the lives of Indians and fulfilling the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision that technology should transform and empower every individual. He said, the government is taking several steps to bridge digital divide in the country. He stressed that through Bharat Net Project all the people of the country will be connected with internet very soon.
