Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the iconic Zero Bridge in Srinagar yesterday and took on-spot assessment of development and beautification of Jhelum River on the lines of Sabarmati Riverfront.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sinha said, Jhelum River reflects the culture and history of Kashmir valley. He said that it becomes important to ensure scientific execution of the work keeping in view the aesthetic value of the river, besides taking the ecology factor into consideration. He expressed hope that once the project is completed, it would open up new avenues for tourism sector and make Srinagar city more vibrant.
