The Lok Sabha is scheduled to take up the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Seventh Amendment) Bill, 2021, The National Commission for Homoeopathy (Amendment) Bill, 2021 and The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (Amendment) Bill, 2021 today. A discussion on the situation arising out of Covid-19 pandemic in the country and various aspects related to it, is also scheduled in the Lower House.
In the Rajya Sabha, the General Insurance Business (Nationalisation) Amendment Bill, 2021 and the Appropriation Bills, 2021 are scheduled for discussion. A short duration discussion on the agricultural problems and solutions is scheduled in the Upper House.
The BJP has issued a whip to its party MPs in Rajya Sabha, asking them to be present in the Upper House today and tomorrow. The Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Seventh Amendment) Bill 2021, which was tabled yesterday needs to be passed in order to restore the power that allowed states and UTs to make their own OBC lists.
The Party has also issued a whip to its MPs in Lok Sabha, asking them to be present in the House today. Several Opposition parties have decided to support the passage of a constitutional amendment bill that seeks to enable state governments to make their own lists of Other Backward Classes.
