World’s highest motorable road built in Ladakh at 19,300 feet by BRO, says I&B Minister Anurag Thakur

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur has said that World’s highest motorable road has been built in Ladakh at 19 thousand 300 feet by Border Roads Organization (BRO). The organisation has constructed the 52 kilometre long tarmac road in Eastern Ladakh. It passes through Umlingla pass, much above the altitude of Siachen Glacier. In a tweet, Office of Anurag Thakur said, India sets a new world record under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
