J&K police arrests two HM terrorists in Kishtwar district

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Police has arrested two newly recruited terrorists affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen outfit in Kishtwar district of Jammu Division today.

AIR correspondent reports that the two terrorists, identified as residents of Dachhan area of Kishtwar, were arrested along with some arms and ammunition during a search operation from Kalaing Aassu area of the district including one pistol, two grenades, one UBGL and a wireless set.

Police said that the two went missing from their houses on 5th of August and two days later, it was learnt that they had joined Hizbul Mujahideen terror group and in this connection a case under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act was registered at Dachhan Police Station.

Acting on a tip off regarding their presence in Tander locality, the Police along with Army and CRPF launched a joint operation which led to their arrest.

However, the search operation in the area is still on and further details are awaited.
