Haryana Governor, CM congratulate Neeraj Chopra; State govt to give Rs. Six crore & Class I job

Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal have congratulated Neeraj Chopra for winning Gold medal and Bajrang Punia for winning bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics.

Haryana Chief Minister said, Neeraj has won the Gold after long time, last time Abhinav Bindra has won the Gold. He said it is a big achievement for the country as well as for Haryana.

He said that the victory of Neeraj Chopra will be celebrated on August 13, when our athletes return from Tokyo Olympics.

CM said that Neeraj Chopra will be given cash award of 6 crore rupees and class 1 government job as per sports policy of the state.

Haryana Chief Minister said, Neeraj will also be given HUDA plot at 50 percent of the cost like other players.

He said, Haryana will be building a Centre of Excellence for athletes in Panchkula, where he will be head, if he wants.

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said, Neeraj Chopra has made country proud. Punjab CM has also congratulated Neeraj Chopra and his family.
