PM Modi says country is giving a tough fight to the pandemic

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that the country’s economy is now moving forward and there are clear indications which show that the country is giving a tough fight to the pandemic.

Interacting with the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana in Uttar Pradesh through video conferencing today, Prime Minister said that amidst the pandemic our export is at an all time high after independence in a single month and there is record GST collection. Mr. Modi said that We are now in the list of top ten countries in terms of Agriculture exports.

Taking a dig at the ongoing ruckus in the parliament, the PM said that, Just because of their political interest, the Opposition is disrespecting the parliament continuously. He said that the parliament cannot become hostage of such people. The PM said that while the country was making new records then these people were busy blocking the parliament. He said that new India is not worried about the post but busy in winning medals.

Criticizing the opposition parties of Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that they were only interested in the development of their own family and that is why Uttar Pradesh was left in the race of development and only known for its political significance.

The PM said that for the first time there is a government in the state which is talking about the dreams of youth, which is taking action against the land mafia and the criminals are now fearful. Now UP has become the centre of the country and many big companies are eager to come to the state.

The PM said that Uttar Pradesh is also going to benefit from the recent decisions taken by the central government, which includes study of engineering in Hindi medium and reservation for OBCs and economic weaker section of general category in central medical entrance exams.

The Prime Minister also interacted with the beneficiaries of the scheme from various districts of state.

Uttar Pradesh celebrated Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana Day today. The Function is being organised as ‘Ann mahotsav’ and the address of prime minister was telecasted live at all the PDS shops of the state.

Uttar Pradesh today created a history by distributing free ration to more than 4 crore beneficiaries in a single day from around 80 thousand PDS shops in state.

State level function was organized in Ayodhya, where Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath was present. On the occasion Yogi Adityanath said that the scheme helped a lot to the poor and needy people of state who got affected by the covid pandemic. He said that this is the world’s biggest food distribution program and a waterproof bag has also been added to the scheme which will provide necessary info about the government scheme.

Mentioning the historic significance of the day, the Chief Minister said that last year the Prime Minister was himself present in the city and his government is trying to fulfill the PM’s dream of a new Ayodhya. He informed that 17 development projects worth 138 crore rupees have been completed while work on 54 mega projects worth 3136 crore rupees are going on in the city. Yogi said that new development projects worth 8568 crores are proposed for the city.

Many ministers of state along with MPs, MLAs and other senior administrative officials took part in the functions across the state. Beneficiaries were given 5kg of free ration in a special bag. Almost 15 crore beneficiaries of the state have been getting ration free of cost through Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. Nearly 80,000 Fair price shops in the state have been distributing food grains to the beneficiaries of the scheme.
