In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Bhartiya Janata Party today celebrated the second anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A. In Jammu the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha took out Tiranga rally which was followed by Flag hoisting program at the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhartiaya Janta Yuva Morcha state president Arun Prabhat said that August 5 is the historic day for Jammu and Kashmir as on this day article 370 was scrapped by Prime Minister Narendra Modi lead BJP government.
Reports of celebration have come from Poonch, Doda, Udhampur, Vijaypur (Samba) and other parts of Jammu division. Besides, the West Pakistani Refugees also celebrated the second anniversary of the abrogation at the Head Office of West Pakistani Refugee Action Committee.
AIR correspondent reports that Bhartiya Janta Party today celebrated the second anniversary of the revocation of Article 370 by holding Tiranga Rallies and hoisting the national flags across Kashmir Valley.
BJP national General Secretary, Tarun Chugh, who is also the party affairs in-charge for the union territories of J&K and Ladakh, said that one of the more significant achievements of the 2019 decision was that the revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the party workers in Srinagar, Tarun Chugh said that after many decades, Pakistan sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir seems to be on the back foot and the anti-national feelings among people have been replaced by the ideas of inclusive development and progress. He also came down heavily on the Gupkar Alliance parties for trying to disrupt the positive narrative in J&K.
Mr Chugh said that Modi Govt has adopted a holistic approach for all-around development of youth in J&K. He added that Two new AIIMS, 7 new Medical Colleges, and an IIM and IIT in Jammu are enabling access to top quality courses.
