Assam, Mizoram decide to maintain peace in the inter state border areas

Assam and Mizoram decided to maintain peace in the inter state border areas and also welcomed the deployment of neutral force by the Centre.  Both the states agreed not to send their forest and police forces for patrolling, domination, and enforcement to any of the areas where conflict has taken place recently.

The decision was taken during the visit of two ministers of Assam Atul Bora and Ashok Singhal to Aizawl today. Both the ministers held a meeting with the Home Minister of Mizoram .

Assam and Mizoram further decided to take all necessary measures to promote , preserve and maintain peace and harmony amongst the people living particularly in border areas. 6 Assam cops were killed recently during firing from Mizoram side by cops and miscreants.

Meanwhile, the Assam government has withdrew the travel advisory which imposed ban on visiting of Assam people to Mizoram.
