President Kovind to address officers of tri-Forces undergoing training in Defence Forces Staff College at Wellington

President Ram Nath Kovind will address the officers of the tri-Forces undergoing training in the Defence Forces Staff College at Wellington near Ooty today.

 

President Kovind is on a five-day official tour of Tamil Nadu from last Monday. On the first day, he participated in the Centenary Celebrations of the Madras Legislative Council, which is considered the precursor to the present Tamil Nadu Assembly. He also unveiled the portrait of former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi in its premises.

Later, he left for the summer hill resort town of Ooty in the Nilgiris district. After a brief sojourn at the Raj Bhavan there, he will be taking part in the function in the premier defence officers training institution today.

 

On the final leg of his visit, President Kovind is scheduled to interact with small tea growers and organic farmers at the Raj Bhavan in Ooty tomorrow.
