Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been recorded in Rajasthan in the last 24 hours, due to which many roads have been blocked. Nine people have died in rain-related accidents in the state yesterday. AIR correspondent reports that life has been badly affected due to very heavy rain in Baran, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur, Jaipur, Dausa and Bundi districts. Flood like situation has emerged in Baran Districts due to the continuous rain for the last five days. NDRF team has been deployed there for relief and rescue works. The Chambal River is flowing 14 metres above the danger mark in Dholpur district.
Many villages on the banks of the river have been flooded with water. The road connectivity from Sawai Madhopur to Madhya Pradesh is closed. The Kota-Dausa highway has also been blocked. The Met Department has issued red alert of heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places in the eastern districts in the next 24 hours.
