National cyber security strategy is in final stage of approval: Govt

The Government today said, the National cyber security strategy is in the final stage of approval. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today, Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt said, the Government has approved establishment of Defence Cyber Agency to mitigate cyber threats. He said, all the three Services have established their respective Cyber Emergency Response Teams.

Mr. Bhatt said, there have been repeated attempts by various cyber threat actors to target various sectors. However, measures are being taken to detect and deter these threats. The Minister added that adequate safeguards have been instituted in the form of cyber audits, physical checks and policy guidelines to ensure a robust cyber posture of armed forces.
