In Madhya Pradesh, heavy rains in Shivpuri and neighbouring Sheopur district has led to floods in some areas. The Air Force, SDRF and the NDRF teams are carrying out joint operations and rescuing several people from low-lying areas. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the flood situation in Shivpuri.
AIR correspondent reports that around 6 villages of Shivpuri district are surrounded by the flood waters of Parvati river. Of these, villagers from Kupwara, Harrai and Akurni villages have been shifted to safer places while rescue operations for villagers is underway in Barkhedi, Chilapai and raipur villages, surrounded by flood waters.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has informed that state is taking all required help from army and Air Force. SDRF and NDRF teams are actively conducting relief and rescue operations. All possible relief efforts are being made.
