Mayank Agarwal ruled out of first Test against England due to concussion

In Nottingham, Team India’s opener Mayank Agarwal was ruled out of the first Test against England. The 30-year-old was hit on the back of his head by a bouncer from Mohammed Siraj in the nets during a training session and was seen in immediate discomfort.

In Mayank’s absence, K.L. Rahul is expected to take the opener’s slot with Abhimanyu Easwaran and Hanuma Vihari also presenting the team management extra options.

As per BCCI release, the medical team has assessed him and a concussion test was conducted. He has shown signs of concussion and is ruled out of the opening Test.
