Himachal Landslide: All 372 people including tourists evacuated from Lahaul Spiti

In Himachal Pradesh, all 372 people including tourists have been evacuated from Lahaul Spiti district today who were stranded in the area following landslides and flash flood the state witnessed recently.

In its day-long sorties, the chopper today evacuated 19 stranded people from Lahaul Valley and dropped them at Kullu from where they have been sent to their destinations by road.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur directed the officials to prepare damage report in Spiti sub division. He also asked the BRO Commandant to ensure a time line for restoration of main road in Udaipur area of Lahul Spiti district.
