Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Saturday said that, the new flyovers in Nagpur will help solve the problem of traffic jams in the city. He was speaking during the foundation stone laying ceremony of four new flyovers on Railway line and a flyover between Kadbi Chowk to Golibar Chowk.
Mr Gadkari said that, MAHARAIL has been provided financial help for these flyovers from Central Road Fund.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackrey participated in the ceremony via video conferencing. Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said, the Centre and State Government will work in coordination to build new roads that will last for generations. The new flyover upto Golibar Chouk will be three-kilometre long and the cost of project is 146 crore rupees. State Public Works Department Minister Ashok Chavan and Energy Minister Nitin Raut were also present at the occasion.
