Tripura government has lifted day time curfew including weekend curfews with certain restrictions and Covid-19 protocols from August 1st to August 31st.
The state came up with the decision in view that as most of the people in Tripura have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 with either first dose or completed second dose.
However, according to the new order, from August 1, there will be a night curfew enforcing from 7 pm to 5 am daily.
According to the new order, up to 100 people will now be allowed to attend meetings from August 1 to August 31. However, 30 percent of the total capacity will be allowed in closed-door meetings or gatherings. A distance of 2 yards has to be maintained at the seating area and video recording must be made as proof of compliance.
The order also allows cinema halls, multiplexes, gyms, swimming pools, sports complexes, playgrounds, amusement parks, and bars to open with a capacity of 30 percent. In addition, shops, shopping complexes, beauty parlors, and salons can be kept open from 6 am to 6 pm.
Likewise, restaurants and dhabas will also be allowed to open till the same time. All government and non-government organizations will be able to have 100 percent staff present in the offices. However, in order to avoid traffic jams, the organizations will schedule employees to come to the office for a certain period of time. All of them must abide by the COVID-19 rules.
Meanwhile, up to 50 people will be allowed to attend weddings. Besides, a maximum of 20 people have been allowed to attend funerals. All religious institutions are being opened to the public. However, the corona rules must be strictly observed with the mandatory wearing of masks at all times, as per the new order.
The other COVID-19 restrictions will remain in force as per the previous order. However, district magistrates can issue separate orders in certain places, if necessary, said the new order.
