In Bihar, sero positivity or presence of antibodies was found in 76 percent of people of the state. These are findings of the sero- survey conducted by the Indian Council of Medical Research from June 14 to July 6. The centre has directed the state government to carry out their own surveys and generate district level data that can help in formulating localized health programmes. Health Minister Mangal Pandey said seo survey would be carried out in 12 districts including Patna, Darbhanga and Saran district. In each district 370 people ,including 50 health workers will be picked randomly. Mr Pandey said survey report will be submitted in 20 days.
Meanwhile, no covid case was reported from 14 districts of the state. The number of active Covid cases in the state came below five hundred which is 480.
The state’s recovery rate has risen to above 98 per cent, while the test positivity rate has declined to below one percent. Over seven lakh 14 thousand people have so far recovered from the infection.
