In Ladakh, relief and restoration of road connectivity in flash flood affected villages of Leh district are in full swing.
The administration has restored the road between Bogdang and Turtuk at line of actual control border yesterday.
The Deputy Commissioner Leh Shrikant Suse along with SSP Rajiv Panday had also visited yesterday for first hand assessment of the volume of damage caused to agricultural land, irrigational canal and Infrastructural buildings like school, community hall and medical aid centre by the flash floods and mudslide that occurred day before yesterday at Sku_ Markha village.
Through the District Red Cross Society, the Deputy Commissioner had distributed reliefs materials to affected people and directed the concerned Departments to restore the works at the earliest and assess the damage.
The adverse weather and moderate to light rainfall during the past two days have caused havoc at several parts of Ladakh.
The Metrological Department has forecast light Rain at scattered places today also. However, it has predicted significant improvement in weather from tomorrow.
