Dharmendra Pradhan congratulates Isaac Munda of Odisha for appreciation by PM in Mann Ki Baat program

Union Minister for education Dharmendra Pradhan has congratulated Isaac Munda of Odisha, after being appreciated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his monthly Mann Ki Baat program yesterday. The Prime Minister had lauded Mr Munda for his efforts in popularizing different cultures and cuisines.

Congratulating Mr Munda- a youtuber of tribal community of Odisha, Mr. Pradhan said, his journey from being a daily wager to becoming an internet sensation is quite an inspiring transformation. He said, by uploading videos on the recipes of traditional food items and social life of Odisha on his YouTube channel, Mr. Munda has spread the local culture and cuisine,  thereby becoming a symbol of youth power, aspiring to do something new.

Mr Munda, belonging to a tribal community of Babupali vilage under the Jujumura block of Sambalpur district in Odisha, began his tryst with YouTube only in March last year by first uploading videos of “Pakhala”- a type of fermented rice that is a traditional and popular staple diet for many Odias even now. From then on, he has never looked back in popularising local lifestyle while earning good buck for himself.
