Delhi Government today announced further relaxation in Covid induced restrictions with effect from Monday morning. Delhi Metro will be allowed to run with 100 percent seating capacity but no standing passenger will be allowed. Similarly , multiplexes, theaters and Cinema halls will be allowed to reopen with 50 percent capacity.
The new relaxation has been announced in view of decline in Covid19 cases in the national capital.The new guidelines will be effective from 5 AM, 26th July to 9th August till 5 AM or further orders. Delhi Disaster Management Authority in its order has said that number of people allowed at marriage functions and last rites in Delhi has been raised to 100 from Monday.
Bars will also be allowed to reopen with 50 per cent of the seating capacity from 12 noon to 10 PM . All shops will be permitted to function on all days of the week without any distinction of essential and non-essential goods and services. However, the timings of such shops dealing with non essential goods will be between 10 AM and 8 PM.
Auditoriums and assembly halls can also reopen with a 50 per cent seating capacity. Intra-state buses shall also be allowed to run with 100 per cent seating capacity with boarding only from the rear door and deboarding from the front door. As per the DDMA order, religious places will also open in the national Capital but visitors will not be allowed. Stadia and Sports complexes will be permitted to open without spectators subject to strict compliance of SOPs.
For the reopening of spas, the DDMA mentioned that all employees of spas will have to go two doses of Covid-19 vaccination or to undergo RT-PCR tests every fortnight. It said, no weekly market will be allowed to function roadsides.
The DDMA further said that all schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will remain closed and online distance learnings will continue to be permitted and should be encouraged. Besides, all social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural , religious and festival related congregations will be prohibited.
