7394 publications empanelled with Bureau of Outreach & Communication for dissemination of information through advertisements

A total of 7394 publications are empanelled with the Bureau of Outreach and Communication- erstwhile DAVP for dissemination of information through advertisements.

 

Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur informed this in the Lok Sabha today.

 

In a written reply, he said that the total number of newspapers and periodicals registered with the Registrar of Newspapers for India- RNI as on 14th July is 1 lakh 44 thousand 740. Minister said that the number of newspapers and magazines who have deposited the levy fees to the Press Council of India- PCI during the last three years range from 2418 to 3317.
