Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today chaired an urgent review meeting in the wake of heavy rainfall warning in Konkan region, including Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri for the next three days.
Mr. Thackeray directed district authorities to remain alert and carry out relief and rescue operations wherever required. He has also asked district authorities to arrange for alternate facilities for COVID patients in flood hit areas.
The meeting was attended by the state’s chief secretary Sitaram Kunte and other senior officials.
With record breaking rains of 400plus mm in Mahabaleshwar in the last 24 hrs, many rivers in Ratnagiri and Raigad districts are flowing above the danger mark.
