The 250-episode programme enclosed short descriptions of Hindustani music stuffed with ragas and talas with demonstrations by the maestros. The distinctiveness of the programme lay in the fact that each episode would end with a film song that was based on the ragas and talas used in Hindustani Music.
Not only this, but the programme also included serialised thematic presentations by prominent musicians and composers. Born and brought up in Varanasi, the duo after receiving their initial musical training started performing while they were still in their teens. The brothers have mesmerized the whole world with their melodious voices for many years now and they have been a part of a 300-year-old lineage of khyal singing of the Banaras Gharana.
