In Bihar, train services on Darbhanga-Samastipur rail section of East Central Railway has been restored following receding of flood waters on track. Rail traffic on this route was suspended about a fortnight due to inundation of rail track. After improving the condition atleast 12 pairs of special trains would now run again on the route. The Chief Public Relation Officer of East Central Railway Rajesh Kumar said Railways will however, carry on surveillance on the rail bridge and tracks along the bridge on the Muktapur- Samastipur route.
Meanwhile the flood situation is stable in seven districts including Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzaffarpur, East and West Champaran districts.
