2nd ODI: Sri Lanka win toss; opt to bat first against India

In the  2nd ODI, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The Indian team is unchanged for this game whereas the Lankans have made one change – Kasun Rajitha has come in for Isuru Udana.

The visitors will take an unbeatable series lead if they win the match tonight.

In the first ODI , India won by 7 wickets. Chasing a victory target of 263 runs set by Sri Lanka, India achieved the target in 36.4 overs with Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten 86 in 95 balls and Ishan Kishan’s 59 in 42 balls.

Prithvi Shaw who made 43 in 24 balls was named Player of the Match. With this win, India has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

The 3rd and final ODI will be played on 23rd of this month.
