Rajya Sabha adjourned for one hour till 12.24 PM after paying obituary references
The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned for one hour till 12.24 P.M. after paying obituary references to sitting members Dr. Raghunath Mohapatra and Rajeev Satav. The house also paid homage to its ten former members including actor Dilip Kumar and former Union Minister Ajit Singh as well as the legendary track and field sprinter Milkha Singh.
On the first day of Monsoon Session, when the house met this morning, Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu introduced the new Leader of the House Piyush Goyal. Newly elected member from Kerala Abdul Wahab took oath.
