Over 42 lakh 12 thousand doses of COVID vaccine administered in last 24 hours; overall vaccine coverage reaches nearly 40 crore mark

More than 39 crore 96 lakh Vaccine Doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, more than 42 lakh 12 thousand vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate has gone up to 97.31 per cent. More than 43 thousand patients recovered during last 24 hours. Till now, more than 3 crore 2 lakh people have recovered from Covid-19. India reported 38 thousand new cases in last 24 hours. Country’s Active Caseload currently at 4 lakh 24 thousand 25. Active cases constitute 1.36 per cent of total cases.

Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5 per cent and it is currently at 2.10 per cent. Daily positivity rate at 1.91 per cent and it is less than 3 per cent for 26 consecutive days. 560 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours. Till now, more than 4 lakh 13 thousand people have lost their lives due to the pandemic. Testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and more than 44 crore 20 lakh tests have been conducted till now. Yesterday, more than 19 lakh 98 thousand tests were conducted.
