Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda today jointly launched the School Innovation Ambassador Training Program. It aims to train 50 thousand school teachers on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, Product development and Idea generation. The program has been designed by Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education and AICTE for School Teachers. The training will be given in online mode only.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Pradhan said that teachers are the biggest influence in our lives. He said, government aims to make the teachers, change-agents and ambassadors of innovation to make our students future-ready. He stressed that technology is reshaping the world and our students have the potential to not only address domestic but also the global challenges.
On the occasion, Arjun Munda said, the Innovation Ambassador training program marks yet another milestone moment for capacity building of teachers and students. He said, this will give wings to the creativity of the children and provide a platform so that they can give something new to the world with their ideas.
Mr Munda said, Eklavya Model Residential Schools represent one of the most powerful tools for empowerment of our tribal youth in the remotest parts of country by enabling them to pursue quality education along with holistic development.
