16 children tested positive for COVID 19 in Puducherry

21 children have been admitted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital, with high fever, 16 of them have been tested positive for corona in Puducherry.

Even though the number of positive cases in Puducherry are coming down, 21 children have been admitted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital in Kadirgamam in Puducherry, which is also the COVID hospital. and out whom, 12 children are between 1 and 5 years old.  16 children were tested positive for Corona and the remaining 5 children, who were born to mother’s who have been affected with Corona. The test results are awaited for these 5 children, says Puducherry’s Health Services Director, Dr. Mohan Kumar.

Totally 21 cases. 1 to 5 years age group 12 cases. 4 cases above 5 years. Remaining 5 are new born, to covid positive mothers admitted, whose results are awaited. They are stable. They are admitted with high temperature but stable.

Dr. Mohan Kumar ruled out that this is not the onset of the third wave may be reprieve. But It is a fact that the second wave is not yet over. We the people should take all precautions to prevent the epidemic from spreading further.
