India is overcoming all the challenges posed by COVID-19 with the help of knowledge and by instilling confidence and trust in the country’s devoted scientists and scientific administrators. Recently, PM Modi had an enriching interaction with more than 100 directors of the premier science and technology institutions of the country. PM also lauded the research and development work done by these institutions towards meeting the challenges posed by Covid. During these unprecedented health crises, the efforts of India’s young innovators towards providing quick technological solutions have been widely appreciated. Nation’s Science & Tech efforts towards Covid mitigation. In the first place, let’s get started with the information of immediate use. Various government departments and ministries have timely released up to date information through guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulations to mitigate the impact of COVID-19. These include the guidelines mandated for operationalization of COVID Care Services for Children & Adolescents, management of COVID-19 patients and COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedure for Neonates. The efforts also incorporate the Ministry of AYUSH’s Home Care Guidelines for children for prophylactic care, parent participation in home-based learning during school closure, practical and simple self-help manuals for the psychological well-being of healthcare workers, an Information booklet for rehabilitation of post-COVID-19 patients and Food Safety & COVID-19 guidelines issued by ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition.
