With only a few days left for the Tokyo Olympic Games, in the Olympic series of All India Radio, on Sunday we talk about Indian Swimmer Srihari Nataraj.
Srihari Natraj of the Indian swimming team that participated in the Olympics represented India at the World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, South Korea in 2019. He qualified for the Tokyo Summer Olympics after achieving an ‘A’ standard in the men’s 100 m backstroke time trial at the Sete Koli Trophy in Rome.
In 2017, Srihari competed in short course swimming at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Srihari has many records and medals in his name till now. In 2018, he represented India at the 2018 Commonwealth Games held in Gold Coast, Australia. Srihari also participated in the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The 20-year-old Natraj has previously represented India at the 2018 Commonwealth and Asian Games as well and the Youth Olympics in the same year. Nataraja will compete in the Olympics for the first time, and will represent India at the Grand Kumbh of the Games.
