Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was cremated with full state honour at his native place Rampur Bushahr in Shimla district on Saturday afternoon.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania, several BJP and Congress leaders and thousands of people from different walks of life paid their rich tributes to Virbhadra Singh.
It may be recalled that the Congress veteran leader breathed his last on Thursday at IGMC, Shimla after a prolonged illness. Virbhadra Singh contributed immensely for the development of Himachal Pradesh and welfare of its people during his long political career spanning over fifty years. He remained Chief Minister of the State for record six times and also gave his valuable services as Union Minister.
