Over 36 crore 48 lakh vaccine doses administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive

More than 36 crore 48 lakh vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The Health Ministry said, 33 lakh 81 thousand vaccine doses were given during the last 24 hours. The recovery rate in the country is now at 97.18 per cent. More than 44 thousand people recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. More than two crore 98 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19 till now. India reported 45 thousand 892 new cases in the last 24 hours. Country’s Active Caseload is currently at four lakh 60 thousand 704. Active cases constitute 1.50 per cent of total cases.

Weekly Positivity Rate remains below five per cent and it is currently at 2.37 per cent. Daily positivity rate at 2.42 per cent and it is less than three per cent for 17 consecutive days. In all, 817 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll due to COVID-19 has reached four lakh five thousand 28. COVID testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and more than 42 crore 52 lakh tests have been conducted till now.
