Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis organises Parallel Assembly in Vidhan Bhavan premises in Maharashtra

On the background of 12 BJP MLA’s suspension on 1st day of Maharashtra legislative assembly yesterday on 5th July 2021, today under the leadership of opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis, Parallel Assembly has been organised in Vidhan Bhavan premises and it has worked for five hours, national anthem was sung while concluding the parallel assembly.

Speaking to the media after the parallel assembly, opposition leader and ex-CM Devendra Fadnavis said that a resolution condemning government action was passed. He said, “During the parallel session, the government did not try to mediate, which shows this government doesn’t want opposition in the house. We will continue to fight against the government on issues of peoples’ well-being.”

He further said that out of three, two of agricultural bills introduced by the central government, were existing in Maharashtra. There are minor amendments which the centre has accepted already.

He further informed media that the State today passed resolution about Centre’s farmer bill. The state government has not quashed the bill completely but suggested amendments in the original bill.
