Asian stocks today traded mixed amid volatility. Investors in the region remained concerned over the future of China’s technology sector companies. Equity markets in the region traded in a narrow range in lack of cues from the wall street indices as the U.S. markets were closed yesterday to mark the Independence Day holiday.
Singapore’s Straits Times was trading around 1.6 per cent up while South Korea’s KOSPI added 0.4 per cent. Japan’s Nikkei-225 rose 0.2 per cent. China’s Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.1 per cent and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng declined 0.3 per cent.
European shares were down in intra day trade. London’s FTSC-100 slipped 0.1 per cent, France’s CAC fell 0.3 per cent and Germany’s DAX declined 0.4 per cent.
