Over 34.46 cr COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in country till now; National Covid-19 recovery rate improves to 97.06 per cent

Over 34 crore 46 lakhs vaccine doses have been administered in the country till now under the world’s largest vaccination Drive.

Health Ministry said, The national covid recovery rate has also further increased to 97.06 per cent.

Through the free for all, nationwide Vaccination drive over 43 lakh 99 thousand doses were administered in the past 24 hours. Health Care Workers have been given over 1 crore 75 lakh doses, Front Line Workers over 2.71 crore doses, people in the 18 to 44 age group received over 9.88 crore doses, people in the 45 to 59 age group over 10.73 crore doses and people over 60 years have been administered 9.36 crore doses.

The Ministry also reported that over 57 thousand patients recovered during last 24 hours. Daily recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 51st consecutive day. The country reported more than 44 thousand new cases in the last 24 hours. Over 2 crore 96 lakh people have recovered from Covid-19 so far.

India’s Active Caseload has declined to 4 lakh 95 thousand 533. It is less than 5 lakh after 97 days. Active cases constitute 1.62 per cent of total cases.

Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5 per cent and it is currently at 2.5 per cent. Daily positivity rate at 2.35 per cent and it is less than 5 per cent for 26 consecutive days. 738 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. With this the death toll due to the pandemic has reached 4 lakh one thousand 50.

Health Ministry said, testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and over 41 crore 64 lakh tests have been conducted till now. More than 18 lakh 76 thousand samples were tested yesterday.
