Country crosses the milestone of administering 33 crore 54 lakh covid vaccines

The country crossed yet another milestone in the covid vaccination drive as the total inoculation coverage exceeded 33 crore 54 lakh mark yesterday.

As the new phase of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June, Union Health Ministry said, more than nine crore 14 lakh persons in the age group 18 to 44 years across 37 States and Union Territories have received their first dose. More than 25 lakh 14 thousand Vaccine doses were administered yesterday alone.

Over 13 lakh 43 thousand vaccine doses were administered as first dose and over 87 thousand vaccine doses were given as second dose in the age group 18 to 44 years yesterday.

The Ministry said the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka,  Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and  Rajasthan have administered more than 50 lakh first doses of COVID-19 Vaccine in the age group 18 to 44 years.
