J&K: Rajouri district authority bans storage, sale or possession, use, transport of Drones

Following the recent Drone Attack on the Technical area of Indian Air Force Station in Jammu, authorities in the border district Rajouri today  ordered a ban on the storage, sale or possession and use and transport of flying machines (Drones) .

An order issued by the District Magistrate, Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan also directed those having drones or like objects in their possession to deposit the same with the local police station.

However, the government agencies using drones for mapping, surveys and surveillance have been asked to inform the local police station in-charge and executive magistrate.

In what was the first instance of its kind, two bombs were dropped at the IAF station Jammu by drones in the early hours of Sunday, causing minor damage to the rooftop of the building.
