Copa America: Messi leads Argentina to 4-1 rout of Bolivia

In Copa America soccer, Lionel Messi scored twice and provided an assist as Argentina secured the top spot in their group with a 4-1 rout of Bolivia in Cuiaba, Brazil.

The result extended Argentina’s unbeaten run to 17 matches and they will now turn their attention to next Saturday’s (July 3) quarter-final clash against Ecuador.

In the other fixture, Uruguay beat Paraguay 1-0 courtesy of a first-half penalty from Edinson Cavani.  The result means Uruguay will meet Colombia in Brasilia on July 3 as both teams vie for a place in the competition’s last four.

Peru will face Paraguay in Goiania and Brazil will take on Chile in Rio de Janeiro in the other quarterfinals on July 2.
