Dr Harsh Vardhan reviews preparedness for prevention & control of Vector Borne diseases in Delhi

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has stressed not to lower guard against the Covid-19 pandemic as the second wave is not over yet. He said, the vaccination and Covid appropriate behaviors are the crucial pillar in the fight against the pandemic. The Minister today held a meeting with the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal and Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain to review preparedness for prevention and control of Vector Borne Diseases in Delhi. Mayors of three Municipal Corporations and Senior Officials of Union and Delhi government also participated in the meeting.

Dr Harsh Vardhan said, the country has witnessed a tough time for the last one and a half years and people of Delhi have also experienced the same so many times. He said, now Delhi is seeing some respite from the Covid as the number of cases has come down. Stressing on the elimination of vector borne diseases, the Minister said, significant decline in the number of cases have been reported in Delhi. He asked the Delhi Government to continuously work towards achieving the target of elimination of vector borne diseases in the national capital.
