Bangladesh: Govt. extends closure of educational institutions till July 31

The government of Bangladesh has extended the ongoing closure of all educational institutions till July 31.

 

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Education on Tuesday, the decision has been taken in view of the Coronavirus situation in the country in order to protect the health and safety of students, teachers, staff and parents. The decision has been taken in consultation with the National Advisory Committee on COVID 19.

The order for closure also includes the Ibtedai and Qawmi Madrasas of the country.

Bangladesh has shut down all academic institutions since March 17 last year after the first Coronavirus case was detected in the country some days earlier.
