In Odisha, all thirty districts will soon have their medical oxygen supply system. With the chief minister Naveen Patnaik laying foundation stones for oxygen conservation and distribution in seven more districts yesterday, oxygen production, storage and supply system in all districts will be ready over the next two months.
While Odisha has been a frontrunner in supplying medical oxygen beyond its border, it will soon have its own oxygen production, conservation and distribution system in place across all the 30 districts. Meanwhile, the state yesterday inoculated about 2’45’000 beneficiaries against covid-19 that include about 1’70’000 beneficiaries of the 18 to 44 age group receiving their first dose of the vaccines against the virus. On the other hand, the state’s covid-19 active caseload has climbed down to about 33 thousand, with the state reporting about 3 to 3 thousand five hundred new cases on a daily basis for the last few days.
