Rescue team retrieves 3rd body of five coal miners trapped inside Meghalaya coal mine

After nearly four weeks of rescue efforts by a combined team of the Indian Navy, SDRF, NDRF and Meghalaya Fire and Emergency Services, the third body of the five coal miners trapped inside the coal mines at Krem Ule, Umpleng in East Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya was retrieved today.

It may be mentioned that the second body was retrieved on Thursday.

Teams comprising of the Indian Navy, SDRF, NDRF and Meghalaya Fire and Emergency Services have been conducting the rescue mission ever since five miners got trapped in the rat-hole mine on May 30, 2021.
