PMAY-Urban, Smart Cities Mission and AMRUT schemes transforming people’s lives: D S Mishra

The Centre said, it has sanctioned 1.12 crore plus houses and delivered over 48.5 lakh houses to the beneficiaries so far under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban. In an exclusive interview to AIR News, Housing and Urban Affairs Secretary Durga Shanker Mishra said, these houses are not confined to four walls and a roof alone. The houses will have all the basic facilities like gas connection, proper sewage with septic tank.

On the eve of completion of six years of three major flagship programmes, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna-Urban, Smart Cities Mission and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), Mr Mishra said, these schemes are transforming people’s lives.
