COVID-19: Maharashtra sets new record in vaccinating citizens

Maharashtra has set a new record yesterday in vaccinating citizens for covid 19 vaccine. As per COWIN portal, Around 5 lakh 60 thousand citizens are inoculated in the state on Tuesday.

AIR correspondent reports that on the first day after resuming vaccination for the age group of 18 to 29 in govt. hospitals, Maharashtra has set a new record by vaccinating around 5 lakh 59 thousand 345 citizens in one day. Yesterday, 4 lakh 84 thousand beneficiaries received the first jab and around 75 thousand received the second jab.

Earlier 5 lakh 34 thousand beneficiaries were vaccinated on 26 April 2021. Till date, the state has inoculated more than 2 crore 87 lakh doses. Out of which 2 crore 30 lakh have received the first dose and 56 lakh have received the second dose. In Mumbai, more than 48 lakh 66 thousand beneficiaries are inoculated while in Pune 38.84 lakh doses are observed.
