Maharashtra maintains top position in COVID-19 vaccination in country

Maharashtra has maintained top position in COVID 19 vaccination in the country with administering more than 2.8 crore doses.

Yesterday more than 3 lakh 82 thousand beneficiaries were inoculated in the state. AIR correspondent reports, Maharashtra is the only state in the country which has crossed the milestone of 2.8 crore doses of covid19 vaccine. More than 2 crore 25 lakh citizens of the state are inoculated with the first dose of COVID 19 vaccine while more than 55 lakh have received the 2nd dose. From Saturday, free vaccination of beneficiaries between the age group of 30 to 44 was begun.

From today, state government has allowed the vaccination of citizens between the age group of 18 to 29 in government hospitals. Few districts have begun vaccination of beneficiaries between this age group from today itself while Pune and other districts will start it from tomorrow.
