’Centre of Excellence’ for modern farm techniques: Here’s what Senior Scientists has to say

They are simply called the ‘Backbone of our country’. They never stop their work even during heavy rains or scorching sunny days. They are the ones who provide food in our platters.

“Farmers” have great importance in our society. And to empower these imperative pillars of our nation, MIDH, the Division of Ministry of Agriculture along with MASHAV – Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation – are leading Israel’s largest Government to Government cooperation, with 29 INDO-ISRAEL Agricultural Project Centres of Excellence (COEs) operational across India in 12 States. These centers implement advanced-Intensive agriculture with Israeli Agro-Technology tailored to local conditions.

The Centres of Excellence generate knowledge, demonstrate best practices, and train farmers through the country to maximise their produce, bring profitability and operate with the ultimate aim of amalgamating modern technology in agriculture.
